Working with me
Barrel racing is a timed event where you navigate a cloverleaf pattern of 3 barrels. The object of the game is the fastest time wins and if you have any knockdowns, 5-seconds is added to your time. OUCH! Barrel racing is a precision sport with speed. Your website needs to be created quickly (after all time is money!) and it needs to WORK.
How does it work?
3 Barrels = 3 Turns = 3 Phases Barrel 1: Are we a right fit? Also known as the “Money Barrel” because if you don’t do this one right, every thing after it is off-track too. We’ll spend some time asking each other questions, digging a little deeper to make sure that we are both the right fit for each other. If I find that you need some other service or resource, no worries, I will suggest them. I won’t pressure you into buying my service if it’s not right. Barrel 2: Design and Development Here’s where we roll up our sleeves and get dirty (well, not really, but it’s fun.) You will be asked to complete a design questionnaire. It is quite detailed but we feel that it’s important to get to the heart of what your likes, dislikes and must-haves truly are for your site. You are investing in your business and we recognize that this can be quite an investment for some, and therefore our goal is to make sure that we get it as right as we can on the front end. Depending on the scale of the web development project will determine how long this phase lasts. If it’s a simple project (just a few pages and the design is the same on all pages), this phase can be as short as a couple of weeks. But if you’re going bigger and want an eCommerce site, different design elements on different pages, landing pages, sales pages, opt-ins, and so on, then this phase can be a couple of months. It is extremely important to note that what appears to be small changes in design, can actually be complicated to change. It’s super important to be crystal clear about your design before getting too deep here. Yes, we can tweak things, but I will also let you know if those tweaks will be in addition to what we agreed on. (In barrels, sometimes we have to course-correct, and sometimes it doesn’t work out, and we knock a barrel, costing us a 5-second penalty. That’s kinda’ what I’m trying to say here about design changes. Did I lose ya?) Barrel 3: Running for Home! Yahoo! All 3 barrels are up and we’re heading for home. Oh yeah, right, website. In this last and final phase, the site is tested to make sure that everything works as it should. (Of course, it’s been tested all along, but it always needs 1 last test.) Once it’s ready, we will hand over the ‘keys’ and make it live.
